The Playwright, Marbella
Marbella, as well as its surroundings, is an ideal holiday destination due to its wide range of services such as accommodation, restaurants, gourmet shops, leisure, and activities or outdoor sports. Moreover, thanks to its climate, it can be visited almost all year round.
The Costa del Sol municipality leads the Andalusian podium of Michelin-starred temples, with five of the distinctions awarded by the legendary guide for 2021-2022. So as you can imagine, the Marbella dining scene is quite competitive, to say the least.
As for as cuisine goes, seafood is predominant, with sardines and “pescaito frito” (fried fish) being the main protagonists of the restaurants and beach bars on the beach.

The Playwright Bar and Restaurant Marbella
Inspired by the exotic exuberance of the jungle, the Playwright reopened its doors in September 2020 to much to the public’s delight. With its produce meticulously selected by Head chef Tomas Rozsar, its cuisine is inspired by Asian and international elements.
The Playwright is described by locals as a vibrant international restaurant that has a delicious all-day menu. Once you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a slick, stylish bar, spacious terrace, and sophisticated decor that makes for the perfect place for an intimate evening with your significant other.
In addition to delicious cocktails served by its expert mixologist, The Playwright serves a daily lunch menu that consists of two courses, as well as a traditional Sunday lunch menu.
Here are some of the stand out dishes that will have your mouth watering: The grilled king scallops, served with a herb butter crust, iberico ham reduction and a parmesan crisp, the sesame coated sticky pork belly, and the marinated sticky sesame fillet of beef, to name a few.

What’s more, The Playwright frequently welcomes fantastic local musicians and singers to come and entertain its diners including Peet Rothwell, Johnnie G and Frankie B, and many more by popular demand of the regulars. The Bar is open for drinks only from 9pm Thur-Sat or 2pm Sunday.

The Harbour
Sister restaurant of The Playwright, The Harbour offers an authentic nautical experience with stunning sea views from its spacious terrace across the marina at the Marbella Port.
The menu boasts the freshest selection of daily caught seafood, this refined and elegant restaurant is found on the first floor of the Real Club Maritimo. Expect breathtaking sea views over delicious seafood as you take in the lively atmosphere of Puerto Banús.
The restaurant is open every day from 10am onwards and offers a varied selection of international dishes for port-side dining. It also offers a large bar that is open to non-diners, offering 2 courses for 20€ or 3 courses for 25€.
Events at The Harbour
From sea to table, all of The Harbour’s event menus are specially catered to each party, and its staff will work like a well-oiled machine in order to make sure everything runs smoothly for your day.
The A la carte menu gives varied options of the best “traditional” Spanish cuisine combined with international dishes such as “raw bar” and “organic healthy bowls”. For seated groups, the restaurant offers a set menu of 2,3 or 5 dishes.
There’s also the option of relaxed events where diners can opt for gourmet buffets. Booking in advance is essential!
