San Giuseppe: A delight of tastes and flavours

On a chilly Wednesday night, we joined a lot of regular customers to go along to the incredible setting of San Giuseppe restaurant, in Las Marinas in Denia. The setting was wonderful the staff welcoming and the overall ambience made you know you were set for a lovely evening.

We were treated to a spectacle of dishes that were not only extremely interesting in taste but overall a spectacle of fine Italian cooking at its best.

Giuseppe himself prepared for us a succession of incredible dishes. A delight of tastes and flavours.

Food, glorious food

We started with the Fresh scallops with Mascarpone Creme on a bed of pancetta and fresh boletus. The scallops melted in the mouth and combined with the pancetta created the perfect contrast of flavours. A fantastic way to awaken our taste buds!

The bar was set quite high, so, excitedly, we wondered what could be next?

Shortly after, two beautifully presented plates arrived: Roasted lamb chops on cauliflower and potato pure and the Caramel ricotta and pear filled pasta in a parmesan sauce.
We savoured each bite allowing the flavours to mix in our mouths. Both courses justified reverence and, certainly, Giuseppe had our full attention.

By the time the parmesan risotto with monkfish medallions and fresh winter truffle was in front of us, we didn’t speak another word, his cuisine has won us over.

About to get full but still with enough room for some more yummy goodness, we ate slowly, enjoying each bite of the Panna cotta with fresh red fruits mango crisp and Mascarpone creme.

Every Wednesday you can enjoy live music with the singer Inti Cardoso.

Great Italian gastronomy and live music too

Aside from the gastronomy experience, the music was provided by the international – Cuban musician Inti Cardoso, who is outstanding in his variant style of music. At San Giuseppe, you are delighted with some of the most exquisite guitar playing music you will get anywhere in Spain.
