We invite you to discover Jose Carlos Garcia – the Malaga genius of haute cuisine that is celebrating 10 years of gastronomic success.
José Carlos García
José Carlos García opened the lavish restaurant that bears his name 10 years ago in the Port of Málaga. To coincide with the celebration of the anniversary, he has created a special menu with the most emblematic dishes of his career as a chef. He also plans to create several events to share surprises with his clients and friends.
On February 24th, José Carlos García celebrated his tenth anniversary at the restaurant that bears his name, located in the Port of Málaga. It’s been a decade since the chef from Malaga embarked on this gastronomic project with his wife, Lourdes Luque, as partner and head of the dining room.
To celebrate the restaurant’s anniversary, José Carlos García has created a special menu with the most emblematic dishes of his career as a chef. The menu consists of 10 main dishes, that may vary depending on the day, also depending on seasonality and availability at the fish market or the market.
The hot-cold gin grapefruit is the perfect appetizer for its temperature to start the tasting menu, is a nod to cocktails with a lot of personality, with which José Carlos García started working in his restaurant; to continue with the traditional polvorón de pipas, and the poultry parfait with mango from La Axarquía and salt, a new version of the homemade pate that his parents made in Café de París.
Then there are starters such as herring with cream, cod and spinach; gazpachuelo of prawns and mussels, a dish that has always been very well received by his customers; shrimps with roasted bell pepper juice, another iconic dish, which is also a nod to the roasted bell pepper salad that his parents used to make in their restaurant in Rincón de la Victoria.
Followed by the baby squid stuffed with black pudding from Malaga and hollandaise, his tribute to the sea and mountains during this decade; and the false egg with mushrooms and amaranth popcorn, another of the dishes with which José Carlos García restaurant was inaugurated.

To finish the tasting menu, desserts such as iced carob cake and coffee macaroon and his personal cheese and pistachio tart, one of the most attractive and repeated dishes during these 10 years.
The entire team of José Carlos García Restaurant works in perfect synch to make the experience of its diners as safe and satisfactory as possible. In addition to the large safety distance between tables, its two dining rooms have an air regeneration system that ensures the necessary ventilation throughout the space and has a spacious terrace for those who prefer to enjoy their gastronomy outdoors.
