Do you know this unique restaurant situated on the edge of Jávea? Surely its fascinating exterior and beautiful gardens have caught your eye. If you have ever wondered about why you should visit them for a dining experience you will never forget, then keep reading.
Many people wonder, ‘Can we afford to dine there?’ Or ‘What is it like inside?’ Or even ‘What is a Michelin-starred restaurant like or how does the chef make the menu?’. We recently met up with the founder of this marvellous place, and we were amazed at not only you can afford to dine there, but also, at the same time, you are about to have a two Michelin star experience that is mouth-watering at all times once you taste their fabulous menus.
The BonAmb restaurant story begins on July 27, 2011, inviting all the guests to enjoy an exceptional meal and drink in an unbeatable atmosphere. Since its inception, the restaurant spirit focuses on the gastronomic history of Jávea and the Marina Alta, using up innovation and tradition in all its dishes. The Mediterranean Sea, the products of the garden, citrus fruits and vines are some of the ingredients that inspire their chef, Alberto Ferruz, to make superb, unforgettable dishes.
Tradition and innovation on the plate
Throughout the short story of this restaurant, the chief of the salon, Pablo Català, chef Alberto Ferruz and their team have achieved special distinctions and mentions, such as the introduction in the top positions of the gastronomic yearbook of the Valencian Community, the award for professionalism in salon and the award for best chef of the year by the Academy of Gastronomy. In addition, in a very short time they have achieved three Soles Repsol (2013, 2015 and 2019) and two Michelin stars (2013 and 2016).
The whole team shares the same philosophy to continue growing and evolving with gastronomy, the restaurant and their guests. The passion for haute cuisine is evident in each dish with the aim of achieving excellence in each of the services of this exclusive restaurant. All this serves for the guest to enjoy a unique gastronomic experience making a trip through history and tradition.
A fantastic, unique menu for everyone
But the BonAmb restaurant is not only special for its spirit, its passion for gastronomy or its traditional inspiration. In this restaurant they offer an open experience for all people since, although it is a renowned restaurant with two Michelin stars, everyone can afford their delicious, innovative menus. This is the cheapest 2-Michelin-starred restaurant in Spain, because they don’t want to exclude anyone from this wonderful culinary experience. So, everyone is able to eat in BonAmb and participate in this unique event.
In this way, they propose different ideological ‘Trueques’ with the team, the environment and the diner with several Paterna Mensam menus, “where we rediscover the ancestral”. The wonderful Essence menu consists of appetisers, six courses, dessert and petits, offered exclusively at lunch. Also, you can also order the Salis, Sol and Tempus menus, in addition to a great wine-pairing exclusively designed to accompany each dish that makes up this succulent experience.
Let yourself be surprised by this extraordinary restaurant and the culinary creations. You can taste dishes that you would never have eat at home. Reserve your table and experience the unique sensations that the BonAmb restaurant offers you. For more information, please visit their website and find them on social media.
