In this article, we are going to tell you about the latest official updates from the Spanish government regarding the accreditation of residency.

The new instructions, which are applicable since April, are as follows:

It must be accredited that you have had and are covered for all the time you have been residing in Spain and accreditation of residing in Spain before the transitional period (31 December 2020), and of continuing to reside until the time of application.

You need a certificate stating that you were registered in Spain before 1 January 2021 (the certificate must have been issued no more than 3 months before the date of submission of the application) and proof of medical care, contracts signed in Spain, bank account transactions in Spain, invoices or proof of payment in Spain, medical insurance with coverage in Spain during the period of residence to be justified (travel insurance is not valid), certificates of schooling and class attendance in Spain or other documents that serve to accredit such continuity.
