We have just come across one of the most original furniture and decoration shops we have seen lately here at Spain Life namely Casa Mu Living and we want to share its soul with all our readers so that you can get to know a little bit more about what this unique shop with the Mediterranean feel and Moroccan and Indonesian influences has to offer.
Talking to Jerome who together with his wife Muriel are in charge of the business we were immediately taken in by the passion they both have for this “world”.
The soul of Casa Mu Living
In Casa Mu Living you will find products with their own personality, with a different style, with exotic blends and Mediterranean flair. Handmade pieces, linen sofas in the purest minimalist style, bamboo chairs… everything to give the most special touch to your home and make the most of it.
They also have the popular Moroccan Beni Ouarain rugs which for those who don’t know them are very special rugs almost a work of art brought from the deepest Sahara. These hand-woven rugs have the power to protect against evil spirits for those who believe in superstitions but the reality is that these rugs have conquered half the world and seduced the most renowned interior designers making them the most admired and sought after in the world of decoration.
Nowadays, it is impossible to open an interior design book or an interior design magazine without admiring a beautiful Moroccan Beni Ouarain (or Ourain) wool rug.
Thanks to its rich textures, sober but elegant neutral colors, and cryptic patterns, a Beni Ouarain rug is the perfect accessory to enhance the sleek lines of Nordic and minimalist décor.
Beni Ouarain woolen carpets are easily recognizable and are one of the most representative manifestations of Moroccan Berber culture and Casa Mu Living brings them from far away to put them within your reach in their showroom in Javea.
Stylish Outdoor Furniture
Casa Mu Living also offers a multitude of items and furniture in different styles for the outdoors so a large garden, a comfortable terrace, an interior patio or even a small balcony can become a wonderful place in which to enjoy our free time at home, especially during the warm months.
Custom-made teak wood tables
Casa Mu Living also offers in collaboration with someone in France sustainable furniture such as a wide range of recycled teak furniture built to individual customer design and size requirements. Their teak tables will give any dining area a warm appearance. The tables are very sustainable because they are made from recycled teak wood.
Casa Mu Living offers a global service
Casa Mu living is coming strong and Jerome tells us about some of his plans for the future. Jerome and Muriel aspire to be able to offer a global service, perhaps including a real estate service to help anyone moving to Spain to get the house they want all in one, from acquiring the property to getting it aesthetically ready inside. They also plan to open another shop in Valencia to help Casa Mu Living grow and reach more people with their decorative items and furniture in different styles.
Stay tuned and in the meanwhile visit them!
