Meat is the star component of this welcoming establishment in the centre of Alicante, as it aims to be a “Temple” for carnivores. Tempo restaurant has developed its own unique system of dry ageing beef to enhance its flavours. The team in the kitchen uses a clean dry aged system, which means that the meat is never spoiled and follows the natural curing process) that achieves pure flavours.

Not only meat is served at Templo, but their tomato is amazing, they choose the best variety on every season, also the roasted peppers in their wood oven complete some of the vegetables they have all year round, but don’t forget to ask for the seasonal out of the menu offer.

Also available is dry-aged ribeye, Spanish Angus beef, wagyu from Japan, Iberian ham and duck breast pastrami.

This cosy and luminous rotisserie, where wood rules, works with cows of the Holstein and Simmental breeds that stand out for their very high fat infiltration, which translates into soft textures and long flavours. They are matured for 30 to 90 days and then roasted as they are in the Basque Country, as their chefs are trained there. The wine list combines large bottles with lesser-known references.

Not only the meats at Templo are exclusive. The restaurant has an extensive wine selection, with each one accompanying the dishes to perfection. The wine cellar is full of exquisite references that will compliment your dining experience at all levels, creating a unique pairing for every occasion. Be sure to inquire with the maitre d’ and let yourself be surprised by their wine cellar.

For dessert, they serve perfectly crafted apple pie, well-prepared fruit cake and generous parfait, and a creamy cheesecake that will end your meal on a high note. Their waiters here serve irresistible wine, spectacular beer and delicious champagne. 

Another highlight for us was the extremely friendly staff. Not only were we served with a smile, but the waiters were very efficient even on a busy day with plenty of filled tables. Inside, there’s an interesting décor and festive atmosphere, which uplights the entire experience.  To finish, we recommend ordering their delicious café cortado to sip on the terrace.
