In the town of Pego, there is a farmhouse in a rural area, where the agricultural space is combined with typical Valencian construction. This old and impressive house is Benigalip, or as it has been called in the past: Benigani or Benigànim.
This villa, along with others nearby, formed part of a new form of agricultural exploitation all the way back in 300 AD. This was a time when new technological advances were being made. All life at the time revolved around Casa Benigalip, where olive growing was the driving force of the economy on this side of the Roman Empire.
