Panorama Celebrates its 50 Years in Marbella’s Luxury Real Estate Sector
To inaugurate 50 successful years as Marbella’s oldest real estate agency, Panorama has had its sales offices in the Puente Romano refurbished in order to properly blow out the candles.
Panorama’s comprehensive knowledge of the luxury property market and top-quality service has enabled the family-owned and run company headed and managed by Christopher Clover to become a benchmark in the sector, making it an integral part of Marbella’s history over the past half-century.
This important milestone was recognised by the mayor of the city herself, Ángeles Muñoz, who with her presence at the inauguration of the refurbished facilities wanted to demonstrate her commitment and support for one of the most important economic sectors of the Costa del Sol.
Since 1970, Panorama has witnessed the incredible evolution of real estate in Marbella and the Costa del Sol. The company broke new ground with innovative practices such as sponsoring inspection flights and promoting open houses.
Such practices have been managed by Clover’s daughter Katinka, who shares his passion and dedication to forging lasting partnerships with his clients.

And last June, Clover was named honorary president of the Leading Property Agents of Spain (LPA), the first real estate agent association to be created in Marbella.
About Christopher Clover, Managing Director, Board Chairman of Panorama
Fortunately for us, we’ve had the chance to speak to the Managing Director, Board Chairman, Christopher Clover, about his personal background and formula that has gone into the company’s success.
When it comes to Christopher and his family, real estate is in the blood. It was Christopher’s grandfather that first started his career in real estate in Chicago in the early 1900s, with his father then stepping up to carry on the family business. His father then decided to expand by taking it across Europe, opening an office in Marbella in 1970, which Chris took over in 1973.
His father Bill Clover was a broker for over 40 years in Charlottesville, Virginia; and his grandfather Burtt B. Clover was one of the first golf course developers in the United States.
To this day, Christopher’s daughter Katinka works hard to keep the business thriving, forging strong partnerships and maintaining its excellent reputation.
Not only did Christopher receive a fine higher education in business, but this went hand in hand with the lessons from his father and grandfather in terms of growing a successful enterprise.
Christopher is trilingual, in English/Spanish/French. Whilst studying economics and accounting at the University of Virginia, he completed a gap year abroad in Lyon. He obtained his first real estate license in 1968, and his professional experience stretches over 50 years in the sale and administration of Spanish property; and international real estate counselling including work in England, France, Japan, Morocco and the United States.
Christopher is also an honorary Chairman of the Leading Property Agents of Spain. He shared that he believes that due to conservative beliefs, high attention to detail as well as ethical and personal standards, Panorama has been able to grow into what it is today.
Panorama prides itself on documenting its properties very carefully, and they don’t submit offers from people they have not qualified. As a result, little by little, buyers and sellers from all over the world have learned of their high level of professionalism, granting them an excellent reputation.
