New Chic Restaurant “SAGA” About to Open in Moraira

The epitome of elegance is how to describe the new elegant restaurant called SAGA that is about to open its doors in early October, as it’s sure to impress the clientele of Moraira and the Costa Blanca with its elegant interior and outdoor seating area.

Moraira, Spain

Located on the seafront in L’Andrago resort in Moraira, SAGA is the latest exciting venture of its Dutch owners. Having worked with nineteen different restaurants in Holland the owners here also bring their many valuable years of experience in the restaurant industry to Spain and after hearing what they have planned, we can’t wait to see it for ourselves at its grand opening in the first week of October.

With an impressive menu intended for both high-end and casual dining, Their vision is that their customers can either come to enjoy an evening of extravagant dining or if they fancy, pop in to have a few casual drinks after work with some friends on the outstanding terracing.

After much time, effort, and planning going into the venue they have shared with Spain Life Exclusive their vision to make their guests feel welcome from the second they enter the restaurant. Decorated with fine furnishings that are all custom and handmade from Holland, SAGA will also have furniture for its lounge areas from Lujo Luxury Living, a company we know well from Teulada and also recommend.

Featuring an impressive 10-metre-long bar, the restaurant is going to have plush booth seating areas, along with additional tables and chairs to seat up to 80 people inside. Currently, in renovations, the main dining room is going to have large arches beaming over the walls giving an overall feeling of grandeur.

Reminiscent of the Mediterranean, the walls will be of a gorgeous teal colour, and the room is going to have palm trees and other plants to make diners feel like they’re in a peaceful oasis. Additional seating upstairs is also going to be available in order to cater to private events.

Currently, we’d like to inform our readers that the owners are in the process of acquiring a license to also have a rooftop terrace, to offer guests optimal relaxation. Guests will be able to lounge comfortably as they enjoy cava or champagne, as SAGA will strive to bring this same touch of elegance and charm to this restaurant where guests can mingle, and socialize over some tapas and cocktails.

The large seating areas at SAGA are adorned with stunning wallpaper designs combined with intimate lighting to embody an elegant look and emit a vibe of luxury. In terms of aesthetics, no corners have been cut in order to make guests feel comfortable from the moment they step inside until the moment they leave.

Speaking of drinks, SAGA is going to have its own in-house mixologist that will be serving guests delicious variations of the most popular cocktails. In terms of drinks, there is truly something for everyone. With Carlsberg on tap, it’ll have an assortment of Belgian beers, blonde ales IPA’s, you name it.

In regards to wine, we’re particularly looking forward to how their impressive wine rack turns out, as they have shared with us that they will have four sections taking up the wall space with all sorts of wines, including organic wines and wines suitable for people with gluten intolerance.

Of course, if you’re in the mood to celebrate, SAGA will have high-quality top-of-the-market brands available such as Moët Hennessy, Dom Perignon, and many more. The idea is to cater to all crowds of varying budgets, whether it’s a blowout night guests are looking for, or if they’re more in the mood for a chill, laid-back vibe, such as “after-work” or relaxing aperitifs.

The Mediterranean and South American Fusion Cuisine

Similarly to the drinks available, the menu has been carefully designed to cater to a wide variety of choices for all budget types. Featuring state-of-the-art Mediterranean meets South American fusion cuisine, SAGA’s Argentinian specialist chef will be whipping up delicious dishes of succulent meats reminiscent of his home country, along with other influences from Peru, Brazil, and Chile. Everything is fresh and 100% made from scratch, with a strict “no cans” policy in the kitchen. Whether it’s a prime wagyu steak or a regular beef steak, guests get to decide whether they opt for a more fancy dining experience, or something more casual.

According to SAGA “the key to success is to be different”. As a result, they have decided to conjure up a secret dessert menu consisting of five items that have never been heard of before, made at the hand of his professional pastry chef.

In addition, there’ll be a brunch menu on Sundays at 10.30 am, much to the delight of the British, Belgians and Dutch and other Europeans in the area. SAGA is also proud to have a highly trained team of staff to make their guests feel right at home.

If you ask us, we’re sitting on the edge of our seats to see how everything shapes up, and we’ll be sharing news with our readers about the definite date of the inauguration party so you can also go and see it for yourselves.

In our opinion, this is going to be the best launch of a restaurant bar ever seen in Moraira and will appeal to all audiences who are searching for quality food and drinks but above all will receive a top-class service that is second to none. All of the professional staff have been trained in all aspects of quality service to make sure you the client will enjoy the experience from the minute you enter.

This is without doubt one of the most exciting venues ever to come to the Costa Blanca and we will keep you up to date on all aspects of this over the coming days and weeks.
