The increase of the nautical activities is evident, driven by recreational reasons, but also by educational, medical or simple fashion reasons. More and more people are linked to these activities considering them as other options for relaxation, adventure, discipline and sport.

The demands of the new trends of leisure and recreation in the nautical sector are evolving rapidly and the offer is extensive. Nowadays the lovers of water sports have a wide variety of options and among the most popular you can find some activities such as diving, which aims to dive into the water in order to explore deep waters, so it is always advisable to do so with the necessary equipment and instruction. Another popular water sport is light sailing, which is done with sailboats without any type of engine, so it is practiced near the coast.

People also like to sail on a catamaran. These are double-bottomed boats with a size of 11 to 15 meters long. There are two types of sailing and motor and in competition it is possible to see up to 12 passengers living an amazing experience. If you prefer an activity with more action, windsurfing is a sport practiced by many people and its goal is to move on water in a table similar to surfing, but with a sail.

Thinking about the rise of this trend, the province of Alicante brings as one of its main events for 2019 the 3rd International Aquatic Activities Exhibition, MedSea. With more than 10,000 visitors in its first edition, its objective is to promote coastal tourism, showing the great variety of activities for the nautical sector. This fair presents more than 100 exhibitors, including 14 from foreign countries, presenting innumerable products and services and and will be held from March 28 to 31 at the Institución Ferial Alicantina (kilometer 731 of the N-340 Alicante-Elche road).

The exhibition is included in the Alicante Puerto de Encuentro event, promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana through its Sociedad Proyectos Temáticos. This event is created to extend the continuity and actions in the aquatic world, also to encourage entrepreneurs, athletes, media and other organizations to set their sights on this sector. The Costa Blanca has been chosen as the venue for this magnificent event. This coast has more than 25 yacht clubs and marinas and has availability of 10,000 berths, which provide the highest level infrastructures, stimulating the practice of water sports. More than 200 kilometers of coastline, 170 beaches and almost 300 days of sunshine per year puts the Costa Blanca as a benchmark among sports fans.

MedSea is an event suitable for all audiences, as it will have a children’s area, sports zone, recreational activities area, e-sports or gaming area and concert spaces, so you can go with your family, your friends or your partner. You do not have to be an expert to visit the fair and enjoy this fantastic world as is nautical!
