Malfunction at festival in Spain leads to huge stage fire

22,000 people had to be evacuated from an electronic music festival in Spain after a technical issue lead to a blaze on stage.

The fire broke out on the left-hand side of the stage at the Tomorrowland Unite festival near Barcelona.

Organisers have said that a technical malfunction had caused the blaze, but no one has been reportedly injured.

The festival was held in the Catalonian city: Santa Coloma de Gramenet, at Can Zam Park.

After the fire broke out, the festival had to be cancelled. Top DJs, like DJ Steve Aoki, Ingrosso and Afrojack were due to perform later in the day.
