La Casa della Pasta, Javea: Bringing you burratas and a new menu soon

La Casa della Pasta describes itself as ‘A whole temple dedicated to Italian cuisine.’ Established in Javea back in 1999, the restaurant has, of course, been closed since the middle of March due to lock-down restrictions aimed at halting the spread of Covid-19. Once the restaurant is open again, there will be new items on the menu, as well as a take-away menu. It goes without saying that everything that comes from their kitchen will be top quality food, prepared with you in mind, and using locally sourced ingredients for maximum freshness and flavour.

Spain Life Exclusive asked owner Cristina what customers can expect from the new menu, which they will be promoting soon in readiness for re-opening. One of the interesting items on the menu is a burrata starter, which is big enough to share between two, or to enjoy as a main course for one.

If you don’t already know, burrata is a soft, filled cheese made from cow’s milk, and sometimes buffalo milk. It originates from southern Italy.  The appearance and flavour is similar to mozzarella, but burratas are filled with a savoury cream filling called ‘stracciatella.’ The name comes from ‘burro,’ the Italian word for butter, and refers to the soft, butter- like consistency of the dish. Burrata is a true taste sensation, which can be served with roasted bread and a garnish.

La Casa della Pasta

Once the restauant re-opens, La Casa della Pasta will offer various three course take-away menus, differently priced, for one or two people, including drinks. This is a great option for those who love restaurant food but for one reason or another are unable to go out to eat. And of course, you can be sure everything you order will be of the best quality, whether you eat at the restaurant or order a takeaway meal.

And there’s another option you may want to consider for the future. Let Cristina explain:

We are offering gift vouchers so people can enjoy a meal with us when we are open again, or they can buy a voucher as a gift to a friend or family member. Spend whatever you like between €25 and €60, and you have a whole year to use it.

To enquire about the take-away service or gift vouchers, or to make future bookings for when Spain is safe again, contact Cristina at La Casa della Pasta. In the meantime, stay safe and well at home.
