Prince Harry is celebrating his 32nd birthday today, so in my opinion, he is far from ‘old.’ What a shame then, that he is getting the ‘Old Spinster’ treatment from the press on his birthday. ~ “One is really not Amused.”
Harry celebrates at the same age his father Prince Charles Proposed to Diana – with this in mind, tabloids far and wide are asking why Harry is… “Without a job or wife on the cards?”
Harry has no obligation whatsoever to keep the bloodline going, that’s Williams job. Unless a tragedy befalls William and his children, Harry will never sit on the throne. So he can stay single forever if he so wishes.
Prince Harry may not have a job, but each time that I’ve seen him, he’s been a great ambassador – surely that will open doors and create business. Harry was in the military for 10 years and did 2 tours of Afghanistan. I would hardly say that’s a “short” stint (also quoted in the tabloids today).

His mother once described Prince Harry as “very artistic and sporty.” At an early age, he developed an interest in riding and hunting. While the family lived in Kensington Palace during the week, they often spent the weekends at Highgrove House, their family’s estate in Gloucestershire. Their mother strove to give both her sons “as normal a life as possible” despite their privileged position in British society. To this end, Prince Harry attended Mrs. Mynors nursery school in London’s Notting Hill neighborhood. Princess Diana also took Prince Harry and his brother to amusement parks, fast-food restaurants, and other places frequented by other children their age.
Photos of the partying prince were ran in Rupert Murdoch’s The Sun, but most other papers in England declined to run them. While the story dominated the headlines for a short time, the scandal seems to have no lasting impact on his public image. One of his first public appearances after the scandal was at the WellChild Awards in London, where he received a warm welcome. Prince Harry serves as patron to WellChild, a charity dedicated to supporting sick children and their families. He even joked in his speech that he was “never shy in coming forward,” according to BBC News.
Whether Harry has decided to spend his 32nd birthday at home or not, I’m pretty certain the finest Champagne will have popped a cork to the clink clink of even finer crystal.
“Happy Birthday Dear… Happy Prince AKA Prince Henry of Wales, Prince Harry of Wales, Prince Harry, – Prince Henry Charles Albert David… (and breathe)… Happy Birthday To YOU.”
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY Harry”
