The annual appointment with the gastronomy returns to Madrid, for the 9th edition, with a wide program of activities and culinary experiences. Gastrofestival 2018 pays homage to gastronomy, not only from a culinary point of view but also also from areas such as art, cinema, literature or fashion, and will take place from January 20 to February 4.
For more than two weeks, and coinciding with the celebration of the Madrid Fusion International Summit, more than 400 Madrid establishments participate in this event designed to enjoy with the five senses, with the aim of making known one of the main tourist attractions of the city. capital, gastronomy, an art increasingly valued by visitors who come to the City of Madrid, where they find one of the most attractive and diverse culinary offerings in the world.
Restaurants, cocktail bars, cooking schools, gourmet shops, clothing and accessories, cultural institutions, art galleries and museums are part of a complete program composed of six major categories: sensory experiences, Gastroculture, Gastrosalud, Gastrofashion, Enocultura and Madrid Gastronómico will offer Proposals and activities for all tastes and pockets Gastrofestival is an initiative of Madrid Fusión and the Madrid City Council.
With the motto Madrid to eat it, Gastrofestival Madrid 2018 will have more than 300 activities and cultural gastronomic experiences that will combine art culinary arts with disciplines such as painting, literature, music, cinema, theater, photography, design or fashion.
More than 20 museums will join Gastrofestival with their proposals. Among them, the Museum of Decorative Arts – with its guided visit to the Valencian kitchens; the Prado Museum – with the itinerary The wine route; the Archaeological Museum – with Flavors of always. The archeology of the Mediterranean diet; the History Museum of Madrid – with culinary trips through Madrid. The kitchens of the Old World; the school Official of Architects of Madrid – with Architectural Tapas; the Museum of Romanticism – with The pleasure of the senses; the Lope de Vega House Museum, with In Lope’s kitchen. This gastronomic festival is completed with the participation of the markets Municipalities of Madrid.
