Boho Club in Marbella is a wellness resort, where guests have access to landscaped gardens, a poolside restaurant, a state of the art gym and more.
Found on the prestigious Golden Mile of Marbella, Boho Club is an elegant hotel complex and wellness centre, where guests are invited to relax within different styles and environments.
The Swedish developer and property developer Quartiers Properties is developing a luxury hotel on the Golden Mile in Marbella, 200 meters from the beach and very close to Puerto Banus.
Nordic company Quartiers Properties bought the resort in 2017. Formerly the Swedish Forest Centre since the 1970s, they invested 8.6 million euros to rehabilitate the estate. As time passed, the facilities were opened to all visitors, making the Swedish Forest Centre a regular venue for celebrations and national holidays.
The end result was to transform the estate into an ultra-glamorous, five-star, 50-room hotel and wellness centre. Guests can choose to stay in a bungalow, a garden apartment with à poolside terrace, a top floor with an open terrace, or a luxury suite.
Boho Club invites its guests to completely unwind, in an environment where every detail is intentional, providing the utmost privacy, sophisticated style and impeccable service.
Offering a club mentality, Boho Club’s hotel interior creates an awe-inspiring atmosphere for its guests, intended to give them the highest level of comfort and privacy possible. With space for a total of 74 guests, Boho Club’s villas and bungalows are scattered across a total of 30,000 metres.
Spanish architect Ismael Mérida strived to bring a certain harmony to the buildings, with the main goal of creating an emblematic residential area, reminiscent of Marbella in the 60s. A great deal of work, care and dedication have gone into converting the complex into what it is today.
Once an orchard, the complex now boasts a beautifully curated garden for guests to meander through. This boutique hotel resort has been arranged in such a way that each building has a meaning and sense of style, ultimately making it into a kind of small, enchanting Andalusian village in itself.
Boho Restaurant by Diego del Río
Boho Restaurant is run by Malaga-born chef Diego del Río, a passionate fan of Andalusian cuisine, where he applies the techniques he has learned from his experience in the kitchen and combines them with the ingredients and flavours he discovers on his travels around the world.
Former head chef at El Lago, David had been defending the Michelin star for years, based on a solid, well-executed cuisine that was committed to Malaga products. He’s also in charge of the entire gastronomic proposal of the hotel, from breakfasts, the Bernies restaurant, where he carries out a more informal cuisine, to picnics and brunch.
The restaurant’s interior is decorated with elegant touches such as chandeliers and Italian furniture. In addition, diners can admire the stunning artworks by Henry Hudson and Claire Tabouret, the photographs of David La Chapelle, or even unique pieces scattered around the garden, such as the sculptures by Richard Hudson.
David del Rio
Without forgetting about the importance of local products, he has elaborated a menu with international dishes, with emphasis on the Andalusian cuisine and under his watchful eye.
The menu’s highlights include the fish of the day, sirloin steak, entrecote or Angus steak baked in a wood oven, as well as other elaborate dishes such as goat shoulder with labneh, onion chutney and mint.
We also recommend the Andalusian artisan cheese board and desserts such as fruit and vegetable minestrone, citrus soup and lemon peel sorbet. All of which can be fabulously paired with a wine from its cellar that includes up to a hundred labels.
Supporting local vineyards like Raul Perez and Bernaveleba, Boho Club serves wines full of body and character.
Yoga, Wellness, Gym Facilities
The first thing that catches the eye is the resort’s spacious grounds, surrounded by lush vegetation and a multitude of works of art decorating the space. You can find everything from sculptures by Richard Hudson to photographs by David La Chapelle.
The first thing you encounter upon arrival is the restaurant building, which shares space with the hotel’s reception. Expect a quick and comfortable check-in, accompanied by a complimentary juice.
The Boho Club Marbella has 20 rooms (Boho Garden and Boho Superior), a Boho Suite and nine comfortable bungalow suites.
There are swimming pools, one of them with an informal poolside restaurant, the Bernies. In the wellness area, you’ll find a gym, yoga and meditation sessions, as well as a massage and a comprehensive treatment service to find the balance between body and mind.
