A place where dining is a pleasure due to the superb setting and ambiance

Over the past few weeks we have finally been able to dine at some nice places again and enjoy the sunshine as well with sitting outdoors being your main area at this present time and so it was we went to see why EL CAMPO  in Javea was being talked about and to enjoy their lovely menu on a Saturday afternoon.

When you enter the car park you are immediately aware this is no ordinary restaurant as it oozes quality and a lovely Mediterranean ambiance of superbly constructed gardens with some of the best design and plants you will ever come across (designed by Trosset of Moraira) set amongst a large area of stone walls and walkway with the beautifully imposing doors as its entrance.

Once you are inside the area is full of opulence with set tables outside where you can enjoy the atmosphere of happy diners and also people who have come to sit on the lovely outdoor sofas and furniture to just enjoy a lovely drink or cocktail as EL CAMPO caters for all of its visitors.

The setting makes you feel comfortable immediately and there are couples and four to a table plus families enjoying their food and ambiance that makes you want to stay longer as the staff are very attentive and welcoming that a lot of guests have their meals inside or outside then decide to sit on the lovely sofas and enjoy a nice relaxing drink as well afterward which EL CAMPO encourage you to do as they want to look after there guests.

We decided to try the Menu del dia of the day as there is a good selection of meat and fish dishes plus others but we liked the look of the menu and chose different dishes so we could sample them all.

The starters were three tapas dishes made up of croquettes – fish and a lovely potato bravas that tasted wonderful together and gave lovely flavors and contrasts that were just ideal and the right amount for a starter and they are presented so well on high-quality plates and dishes… very delicious.

Following this my wife decided to have the Lubina and it was served on a bed of potatoes- vegetables and a sauce that tasted lovely and it all blended perfectly and there was nothing left at the end (she would not let me try it either as it was that good).

I opted for the Albondigas which were delicious and served in a wonderfully rich sauce that had a unique vegetable array that again blended perfectly and was very tasty.

The deserts again were of a nice variety of four that you choose from and we opted for the Brulee with berries that melted in your mouth and was a nice tangy taste following the mains course and finished off the meal perfectly.

There is a great wine selection to choose from and our Vino Blanco tasted perfect with this meal and with the sun shining and the ambiance really giving you a lovely feeling all round that after the awful lockdowns it made you appreciate even more how good it felt to be outdoors and to be served such a wonderful menu and excellent service all round.

Therefore if you want to feel part of the Costa Blanca Mediterranean dining experience then EL CAMPO is a must-visit…as the style and quality of the gardens the design of the restaurant which is open and airy and the menus and bar and staff make you want to go back more and more and you need to book as it is becoming extremely popular and our advice look to spend a few hours there with friends or family you will be pleased you did as all age groups like this place and it is a must when visiting Javea.
