A hidden gem located outside of Valencia with a picturesque view of the Albufera lagoon, Nou Raco is an artsy gem of a location in the heart of the Albufera Natural Park – perfect to host corporate events, communions, celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms and even to bring your dream wedding to life. The building itself is reminiscent of New Orleans and has a grandeur that takes your breath away.
The restaurant is a key part of the Nou Racó complex as they aim to go beyond satisfying diners’ hunger and thirst, to give a taste of an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely lunch, sunset dinner, or cocktails al fresco, this restaurant has it all. We were fortunate to dine at this gem of a restaurant that offers breathtaking terrace views and a stylish dining room, making it the perfect spot for a romantic date. Expect nothing but the best as you browse through the menu that boasts a wide variety of starters, 25 dishes including vegan options, fish, meat and paellas.
Our meal started off with the Mejillones, a succulent mussel dish that was served in a slightly spicy tomato-garlic sauce, accompanied by freshly baked bread. My colleague had the Crispy Prawns that were presented beautifully in a light batter, with a tangy tartare sauce that was both crunchy and soft.
For the main course, my colleague opted for the Solomillo de Ternera sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection and served with crispy fries and vegetables. I had the Lubina (a type of sea bass that’s native to Europe’s western waters), a mouth-watering fish dish paired with asparagus, peppers and vegetables.
Though we were already full, we couldn’t resist trying Nou Raco’s delectable desserts. I had the Lime Cake, a heavenly treat with a biscuit base that tasted like a meringue with cream. My colleague had the delightful Three Cheesecake, which was paired with a berry compote.
The exotic dishes, stunning ambience, and top-class service creates that certain magic at Nou Raco. Make sure you go on a relaxing boat trip through the Albufera in the evening, and if you are lucky, you’ll get to witness the vibrant hues of a bewitching sunset. With every dish being carefully handpicked and produced, every bite reflects the passion of their amazing chefs. For Nou Raco, cooking is an art that will be curated at your table, bringing joy to the most demanding palates.
