In the world of industrial design, trade fairs are everything. Manufacturers spend months preparing their exhibitions, in order to present their new products and developments. In September of this year, designers gathered in Valencia for one of the largest trade shows in Spain. The fair is dedicated to furniture, lighting and décor, with exhibitions from some of the leading names in the industry, not only from Spain, but from all over the world.

This year, 415 international brands displayed their products to international buyers. POINT was among them, displaying their new outdoor furniture designs in a 180m² stand.

The designers and thweir collections at HABITAT

POINT are pioneers in the use of twisted fibre material and there is no better example of this than WEAVE. Victor Martinez presented the extension to the highly successful collection, with new designs for armchairs, sofas, puffs, double lounge chairs and side tables.

In addition, POINT presented several new collections such as DALMATIA, created by Slovenian designer Nika Zapanc, a recent addition to the team of designers. The collection is made up of chairs, armchairs, sofas, and high and low tables. DALMATIA is constructed of aluminium and was designed as a reinterpretation of the type of furniture the company produced at its inception, almost a hundred years ago.

Francesc Rifé presented two new collections at the event: SIR, with straight lines and an aluminium structure covered with Batyline® fabric and teak armrests; and MIN, made with the same material, and which stands out thanks to the tight ribbon used on the base, giving them personality and a certain retro flair.

A surprising and innovative collection was ALU by veteran designer Gabriel Teixidó. The series consists of armchairs, nightstands and aluminium poufs, with upholstered elements.
