After yesterday’s attacks in Spain’s Catalonia’s region, here is everything you need to know about the events:

A white van smashed into people in the pedestrian area of Las Ramblas at 16:50 yesterday afternoon.

The van killed 13 people and left more than 100 people injured. The Spanish police have described it as a terror attack.

The central boulevard in Barcelona runs 1.2km and was packed with the tourists. The area has reopened this morning after the attacks.

The second attack happened eight hours later in the resort town of Cambrils when an Audi A3 ploughed into pedestrians.

Six civilians were injured, one critically and a police officer was also hurt.

Both these attacks are believed to linked. Three people have been arrested in connection.

At the scene in Cambrils, five attackers who were wearing fake suicide belts were shot by police. Four died at the scene and the fifth later died of his injuries.
