Kanaiia Centro restaurant in Calpe is a casual, fun and fresh food concept by Chef Patrick Manguette, offering and “all to share” menu in a unique environment.
The space is welcoming and beautifully designed with contemporary elements, and the dominant shades of white and beige give a touch of flawlessness to the space. Plants and artworks in bright colours decorate the restaurant and invite you to look around and discover details, while the settings of the RGB LED light totally transform the ambient by night.
The creative cuisine of Kanaiia includes dishes made with products from the region but also from the world – and the result is delicious and surprising. We find here signature tapas and salads, main courses from the sea and from the land, succulent burgers and tasty vegetarian options.
Among the starters, you can opt for dishes that range from Kanaiia soup of the day to ceviche – a delicious cod fish ceviche with tiger milk and citrus, and from marinated salmon tartar with apple, celery, pistachio cake and mustard ice cream served with toast, to garlic prawns with a touch of brandy, parsley and chili pepper. The list includes many more and these are only a few but hopefully enough to illustrate just how rich and diverse the approach of Kanaiia is.
From the main course, we warmly recommend the Wok Prawns made with vegetables, ginger, coconut, curry and Japanese Udon noodles, a taste of the far east created with the freshest local ingredients. Also, the menu of Kanaiia restaurant includes a special section of their homemade Burgers, with 100% beef meat, juicy and hand cut, as you can see below.
We have a special mention, and this would be the vegetarian section, with options just as playful and rich as the rest of the menu, including Vegetable Croquettes, a Veggie Burger with Ginger and Miso Sauce, a Fajita Veggie Chicken with Barbecue Sauce and a Veggie Hot Dog with picked cabbage and old-style mustard.
There is also a wide selection of wines and also creative cocktails and tasty Gin&Tonics to accompany your meals. Also, from Monday to Friday, Kanaiia offer their daily lunch menu.
